As part of the Major Arcana watercolour print series, the Fool print represents card zero or the twenty-second card of the major arcana cards in a Tarot deck. Here it is presented as the twenty-second card.
The Fool represents childhood playfulness, welcome changes and unexpected opportunities. The Fool tells us to look at life with a child’s innocence and imagination as we take the path less traveled, or one we previously did not want to take. The Fool reminds us to recall our excitement to new opportunities and that everything is an adventure if we allow it. We must not be afraid of making choices, right or wrong choices allow us to grow and learn. The Fool shows us absolute trust and faith without any fear as we know everything will work out in the end.
Depicted is a lily, which represents purity of heart and innocence. The Fool and the lily represent a purity that is often lost when socialized into adulthood. They tell us to remember a time when we were excited to explore, to learn and to ask questions. We must not be afraid of adventures.
